Wife hopes police find hit-and-run driver who left husband hospitalized with brain injury

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – The wife of a man injured by another driver after a car accident is telling his side of the story.

It happened on April 24 in North Miami.

That’s when video captured 37-year-old Arseniy Segan on the hood of a car.

He ended up in the hospital with brain damage.

“He was rear-ended by a car and he got out from the car and approached him,” said Palina Segan, the victim’s wife.

Segan says the driver who hit her husband didn’t want to give his information.

“How my husband ended up on his hood, he accelerated really hard,” she said.

Her husband went flying and wound up face-first on the pavement.

“He had multiple skull fractures, they had to remove half of his scalp to save his life,” Segan said.

Now she is on a mission to make sure the person responsible is held accountable.

“I don’t care, sometimes we live in a jungle where humans are no longer humans,” she said.

She went to meet with North Miami police officers on Friday, pleading for them to catch the driver.

“I know justice exists in this world and you are going to get what you deserve,” she said.
